Northern Circuit Safaris
(10 day Tour)
Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport on KLM. On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, an English-speaking driver / guide will meet you. He will drive you to Arusha - check in at the Mount Meru Game Lodge for a welcome rest following your flight. Overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge on FB basis
Day 2
Spend the morning relaxing at the Mount Meru Game Lodge, with an optional trip to Arusha National Park, if you are feeling up to it. Activities around Mount Meru Game Lodge can be arranged with reception at the hotel. Enjoy a second night in the peace.

Day 3
After breakfast, your guide will collect you from the lodge. Drive out of Arusha towards the Maasai Steppe to Lake Manyara. This road is all tarmac and will take approximately 2 hours. Enter Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. You will have a picnic lunch with you so I suggest you enjoy a longish game drive. Exit when you feel ready. Drive up the rift escarpment to arrive at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge in time for afternoon tea and a quick dip in the pool to cool off and admire the view!!

Day 4
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate. Game drive en-route to Seronera Wildlife Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive.

Day 5 & 6
Two full days to explore the Serengeti. Look at the Kopjes, rocks sculptured by nature. This will be up to the driver / guide to suggest the best areas to go depending on the time of the year and local conditions.

Day 7
Depart Serengeti and drive back slowly. You will have a picnic lunch with you, so I suggest you take your time. Arrive at the Oldupai Visitors Centre for a leg stretch and visit to the museum etc. Arrive at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge for a relaxing afternoon and overnight. The journey from Serengeti to Ngorongoro will take approximately 3 hours.

Day 8
Full day game viewing in the Crater with picnic lunch. This is a good opportunity of seeing rhino, lions, hyenas, plains animals, gazelle and elephants (males only - no matriarchal herds). Ngorongoro Crater is amazing not only scenically, but also for its wiildlife, one of the very few places that has such an abundance of animals in such a small area, and in so many varying habitats. Return to Lodge before dusk.

Day 9
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. This park offers wide panoramas of open acacia woodland and grass savanna, where huge herds of elephants (often 200 strong) and other unique residents, such as fringe-eared oryx and lesser kudu roam free. Entering the Tarangire National Park around 11.00 am en-route game viewing, then proceed to Tarangire River Camp for check in and lunch, followed by afternoon game drive within the Tarangire National Park before 6.00 pm. Drive back to Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch at The Arusha Hotel and then to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
